Friday night results......

A big Thank You to Wendy for again hosting another lovely night. This time of year, as Christmas approaches I can't always show you much of what I did so only a couple of photos.
I traced out some stitchery of Michelle Ridgway's of Rag Tag Stitchin. It is a new pattern so if you head over to her blog, you will be able to see which one it is.
I also did some stitching on a Gail Pan wall hanging. Not much more to go on this one before I can complete it.
Will have to go over and catch up on all the other girls who joined in and see what they got up to. You can check it here if you would like.
Tomorrow I am off to my Sunday Stitchers group so better try and have an early night.
Hope everyone has had a great weekend so far, I have.
Till next time..............

Tonight I am joining in on Friday Night Sew In hosted by Wendy of Sugarlane Quilts. If you would like to sew along then go over to Wendy's blog and sign up.
Hope to see you there, maybe join you for a cuppa and a biscuit along the way.

Brisbane Quilt Show

Last Thursday my friend Jan and I went to the quilt show. We had a great day looking at all the stalls and buying a few bits and pieces along the way.  We also caught up with a few people on our way around the stalls. I managed to find a few things to buy beside the basics like scissors and cutting blades that I usually stock up on while I'm there.
Assorted spotty fat 1/4's, Christmas prints and ric rac, metal hangers, Sashiko dragonfly stitchery, fabric  & thread, Xmas buttons and an owl ornament pattern. Below a couple of Birdhouse patterns. I did buy Tilda fabric there but forget to take a photo of that.

We also checked out the quilts on display. Below are just a few.

Some very talented ladies out there.
By the time we got home, Jan and I were both pretty tired. I had intended to go another day but decided as I had got most of what I had on my list I'd leave it at that.
Well must go and get some sewing done before the afternoon school run.
Till then................ Happy Stitching...........

12" Mini -Summer

My Mini has arrived at Peg's place so I can finally show you what I made. I really enjoyed stitching this one for Peg as it is a design by Bronwyn Hayes of Red Brolly and when I first started stitching, her designs were the ones I used most often.
I have several of her books so had plenty of choice for the stitchery design .

I also added a mini charm pack of Collection for a Cause, some thread, a thread holder and chocolates. So glad you liked it Peg.
Thank you to Chez of Stitching Cubby Hole for hosting this swap.
Bye till next time...........     Happy Christmas Stitching as not long to go now ............

Kiah's 21st.

My grand-daughter had her 21st birthday party on Saturday night. It was a Harry Potter themed party as Kiah has loved Harry Potter since the books first came out.
Kiah had two cakes. The first one was from the Cheesecake Factory and the second cake was one she asked me to make. A similar cake to the one Hagrid made for Harry for his eleventh birthday. Forgot to take a photo before my 10 year old great-nephew had a piece.
The house was well decorated with spiders, broomsticks and a brick wall (painted on a sheet) to enter through to get to Platform 3 & 3/4.
Kiah's Photo Wall - lots of memories here.

Kiah, Grand-dad and I.

Prof Umbridge, Harry Potter, Wizard (my daughter Kym), Ron (my GS Josh)

Wayne, Chris and Todd

My son and his beautiful family
It was a great night, the above are just a few of the photos taken.

OPAM, 1 Xmas Item a Month, 12"Mini Swap......

OPAM is here again with another month ending. Thanks to Peg and Kris for hosting.
My finishes for September.

A Xmas ornament  and a sneak peek of a 12"Mini which is still in transit to it's new home.
The ornament is for 1 Xmas Item a Month hosted by Narelle and the 12"Mini Swap was hosted by Cheryll.   Thank you to both of these wonderful ladies.
Yesterday, I received my mini from Maria. We both attend the Sunday Stitchers group so it was a surprise to see Maria's name on the parcel.
Some blue fabric, special glass head pins from Manchester, a chocolate fudge bar which my hubby has his eye on and my very very cute Mini. Great  caravan fabric.

I particularly enjoyed reading Maria's little notes on each of my gifts. Thank you Maria, I love them all.
Well must go as I have lots to do this afternoon.
